Andrew Drummond - wanted fugitive.

Pattaya Criminal Court this week accepted dozens of new criminal charges against wanted fugitive British Journalist Andrew Drummond, and also accepted the same number of charges against a second defendant, thought to be Alastair 'Ally' Cooper.
Alastair Cooper - charged for supporting Drummond

Drummond already has two convictions in Thailand, and is currently on the run, and Cooper -who  is a well known supporter of Drummond - is alleged to have supported Drummond, and in addition is alleged to have committed dozens of separate Computer Crimes offences.

Neither Drummond nor Cooper appeared in Court this week,  and all charges were accepted for trial.

The case was filed by a Pattaya businessman under the provisions of Thailand's tough Computer Crimes Act.

Drummond, who already has three outstanding arrest warrants, and Cooper,  will both be required to post bail early in May - should either fail to appear it is likely arrest warrants will be issued.

It is rumoured that the case could severely disrupt Cooper's employment, as he is reported to work for a Singapore based company, and is thought to currently be on assignment in Vietnam - plaintiffs are expected to ask the Court to issue travel restrictions, and may the Court has the power to retain Cooper's passport.
